South Korean materials company Uni-Chem said it has secured all of Loomia Technologies' shares for about 8.6 billion won ($6 million) as it moves into electronic skin for humanoid robots and smart-mobility interiors. The transaction includes cash, Uni-Chem stock and earn-out claw-backs, with completion expected through a reverse triangular merger on Oct. 15. Loomia's flexible electronic-layer technology is used to bond circuits to cloth and leather, while Loomia and R&Y are developing tactile sensors for robotics.
