AWS makes Glue 5.1 available in European Sovereign Cloud

AWS announced that Glue 5.1 is available in its European Sovereign Cloud Region. The serverless data-integration service now uses Spark 3.5.6, Python 3.11 and Scala 2.12.18, updates Hudi, Iceberg and Delta Lake support, and adds Iceberg format version 3 features. It also extends Lake Formation fine-grained access control to write operations for Spark DataFrames and Spark SQL, where it was previously limited to reads.
