Emirates NBD plans OpenAI deployment using UAE inference infrastructure

Emirates NBD plans OpenAI deployment using UAE inference infrastructure Image: Primary
Emirates NBD and OpenAI announced a collaboration to deploy GPT models using infrastructure in the UAE that runs model requests locally. The companies say Emirates NBD will be the first bank in the MENA region to use OpenAI models with in-country inference. The bank plans to connect the models to internal systems, APIs and enterprise data for customer engagement, risk and compliance analytics, financial crime controls and knowledge-intensive workflows. The companies say local inference supports data residency, privacy and operational resilience requirements in banking.
