Swiss biotech Nouscom has closed a €120 million ($135 million) Series D financing to take its NOUS-209 cancer vaccine through a pivotal clinical trial, pharmaphorum reported. M Ventures and Revelation Partners led the round, with new investors including Angelini Industries, the European Investment Bank and Neva SGR. The vaccine is designed for people with Lynch syndrome, an inherited condition that raises cancer risk. It targets markers unique to cancerous cells and absent from healthy cells. Phase 1b/2 data due for presentation at the ESMO congress showed vaccinated carriers remained free of advanced adenomas and colorectal cancer during follow-up extending from one to two years.
