DoverDC files for 200MW Melbourne data-center development
Image: DCD DoverDC filed an application with Victoria's Department of Transport and Planning for a proposed 200MW data center in South Morang, on Melbourne's northern outskirts. The company describes the SM1B proposal as a three-story building on about 1.8 hectares of an 8.7-hectare site next to the South Morang Terminal Station and substation. The filing follows a failed Victorian Greens proposal for an immediate moratorium on new data centers and local calls for a stronger planning framework.
