LG Electronics signs agreement to supply cooling for 5 gigawatts of AI data centers

LG Electronics signed a long-term agreement with North American infrastructure company Air Control Concepts to supply chillers for 5 gigawatts of AI data centers, Seoul Economic Daily reported. Industry estimates put the contract value at trillions of won over three to five years. LG is building a chiller plant in Windsor, Virginia, targeting start-up in the first half of next year. It is also discussing an expanded supply lineup that would include coolant distribution units, which support liquid cooling for servers. Those additional products remain under discussion.
