Google Cloud launches modernization hub and previews AWS migration agent

Google Cloud launches modernization hub and previews AWS migration agent Image: Primary
Google Cloud announced a modernization portfolio with a newly launched console hub for analyzing application code and dependencies, plus a public preview of an agent that moves workloads from AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service to Google Kubernetes Engine. The migration agent handles discovery, translates Kubernetes manifests, and maps storage and networking between clouds, with human approval gates. Modernization Hub integrates Gemini-based tools for assessing Java, .NET and mainframe applications. Google also announced generally available X5 compute configurations with 43 TiB of memory per node, replacing a 29 TiB ceiling for SAP S/4HANA workloads. The AWS migration agent remains in public preview.
