Pandektes raises €13.5M to expand legal research platform

Pandektes raises €13.5M to expand legal research platform Image: Primary
Copenhagen-based legal research startup Pandektes has raised €13.5M in a Series A led by Alstin Capital, The Next Web reported. PROfounders, Scale Capital and existing investors also participated. The company has more than 500 customers and plans to expand beyond Denmark, Germany and Switzerland into more of Europe and North America. Pandektes collects and organizes legal documents to help lawyers find relevant sources. Some of the funding will make that collection accessible to other developers through an API. The company reported that revenue grew six times over the past year; the planned API would open its legal sources to developers rather than only users of its search product.
