Microsoft Edge is Adding Support for Google Account Sign-ins

Microsoft Edge is Adding Support for Google Account Sign-ins Image: Primary
Microsoft is rolling out support for Google account sign-ins in its Edge browser, the company said. The feature is now rolling out gradually to Windows and Mac users running the recently released version 150 of the browser. The option to sign in with a Google account appears below the Microsoft account option when clicking the profile picture icon. The change allows Gmail users to sync personal data in Edge without creating a Microsoft account. Version 150 also marks the beginning of the retirement of the sidebar's app list feature. It is no longer possible to add new apps to the sidebar, and Microsoft said apps currently pinned in the app tower will be removed in a future update. Additionally, Microsoft Edge will soon switch to a two-week release cycle, matching Google Chrome. The new cadence starts August 27 with the release of Edge version 152. Microsoft will continue to support its Edge Extended Stable Channel, which receives updates every eight weeks.
