Waymo Activates Driverless Operations in Las Vegas, Plans Three More Cities
Image: Primary Waymo, the autonomous vehicle unit of Alphabet Inc., announced Wednesday that it will expand its fully driverless robotaxi service to four new U.S. cities: Las Vegas, Nevada; Denver, Colorado; San Diego, California; and Tampa, Florida. The rollout will begin with rides for company employees before opening to the public in the coming months, the company said. The expansion builds on Waymo's position as the largest robotaxi operator in the country.
