Anthropic IPO filing warns government actions could disrupt commercial business

Anthropic IPO filing warns government actions could disrupt commercial business Image: Primary
Anthropic warned in its IPO prospectus that U.S. government actions could damage relationships with commercial customers and partners, Yahoo Finance reported, citing Reuters' review of the filing. Federal agency contracts contribute less than 1% of annual revenue, but June export restrictions forced the company to disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 worldwide before restrictions were lifted. The filing also disclosed that nearly a quarter of 2025 revenue came from two customers, while many large clients lack long-term contracts. Anthropic reported roughly $4.6 billion in 2025 revenue and an operating loss exceeding $8 billion; second-quarter 2026 revenue reached $11.5 billion. The prospectus has not been made public.
