NASA shifts first Artemis landings to simpler Axiom suit Image: Primary
NASA has decided to have Axiom Space develop a simpler "Sortie Suit" for its initial lunar landing missions, according to Ars Technica. The variant is intended for landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin and is meant to reduce suit mass and complexity while simplifying lander interfaces. NASA is seeking a south-pole landing as early as 2028. Axiom is its only current lunar-suit provider after Collins Aerospace left the program in 2024.
