Lyft opens Nashville depot ahead of Waymo vehicle arrivals

Lyft Opens Nashville AV Depot Ahead of Waymo Vehicle Move-In Image: Primary
Lyft's Flexdrive unit said it opened an 80,000-square-foot autonomous-vehicle depot in Nashville on October 2 to service, charge and maintain vehicles. Its team is moving into the facility, with Waymo vehicles expected to begin arriving on October 12. Earlier company remarks described the former USPS site as having about four megawatts of power, multiple charging stations and capacity for hundreds of vehicles. Those figures describe the facility's intended scale. The opening establishes a fleet operating base; it does not establish a new passenger-service launch.
