Canva announced a restructuring affecting 1,271 people, or 22 percent of its staff, CEO Melanie Perkins said. The changes include new roles, relocation requests and layoffs; the affected total is not a count of job cuts. The company will combine Product, Growth and Platform into one product organization, consolidate overlapping responsibilities and make Sydney the primary location for more product teams. Starting in January, most hybrid employees will be expected in an office 2 to 3 days weekly. Departing employees will receive at least six months of salary, twelve months of healthcare coverage and career support.
