Ember agrees to buy subsea technology supplier Ashtead for approximately £505 million Image: Primary
Ember Infrastructure Management has agreed to acquire Ashtead Technology in a proposed cash transaction valuing the subsea technology supplier at approximately £505 million. Shareholders would receive 615 pence per share, and Ashtead's board unanimously intends to recommend approval. Ashtead supplies equipment for installing, inspecting, maintaining, repairing and decommissioning offshore energy infrastructure. It operates 13 facilities and maintains more than 30,000 assets; approximately 85% of its equipment fleet can serve both oil and gas infrastructure and renewable energy projects. The deal would be funded with Ember fund equity and term loans. Completion is expected in late fourth-quarter 2026 or early first-quarter 2027, subject to shareholder approvals, court sanction and other customary conditions.
