Qualcomm plans Linux support for Snapdragon X2 chips

Qualcomm plans to make Debian Linux available for its Snapdragon X2 chips at the end of this year, a company executive said at its Snapdragon Summit. The company is also adding core drivers to upstream Linux projects, including drivers for its Adreno graphics processor and Hexagon processor for AI tasks. The work is intended to let developers run Linux on the latest Snapdragon X2 series with support for key chip components. Ubuntu support is scheduled for the first half of 2027, so neither announced distribution is available yet under this plan.
