CircuitHub says it will increase circuit-board capacity fivefold this year

CircuitHub says it will increase circuit-board capacity fivefold this year Image: Primary
CircuitHub said it will increase capacity fivefold this year as demand exceeds output at The Grid, its automated circuit-board factory in Massachusetts. The company publicly described the system on October 26 after running it for customers for five years. Levitating carriers move boards and parts between assembly and inspection machines, with software scheduling a separate route for each board. CircuitHub says this eliminates per-design setup. For one five-board motor-controller order, it quoted $630 delivered in four days, versus about $465 and nine days at the median from a Shenzhen shop.
