Intuitive Machines says NASA JPL selected its platform for FALCON-RADAR Image: Primary
Intuitive Machines said NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory selected it to provide the IM 300 spacecraft platform and system-level integration for FALCON-RADAR, an Earth observation mission studying clouds and convection. The company announced the selection on November 3. The mission targets launch no earlier than 2029. Its satellite will carry radar designed to observe shallow light precipitation and small-scale cloud dynamics, complementing measurements from other missions. The work adds another NASA Earth science mission using the company's spacecraft platforms. No award value or expected revenue was disclosed, leaving the selection's financial contribution undetermined.
