Google launches Swift client libraries for its cloud services

Google launches Swift client libraries for its cloud services Image: Primary
Google has launched official Swift client libraries that give server applications native access to Cloud Storage, AI, Identity and Access Management, and over one hundred other Google Cloud services. The SDK requires Swift 6.2 or later and supports development and deployment on Linux and macOS. The libraries use non-blocking network connections, gRPC and HTTP/2, with asynchronous interfaces that handle tasks such as fetching successive pages of results. They support automatic credential discovery and Workload Identity Federation for authentication. Google advises developers against embedding the SDK in Apple client applications because shipping service account keys or administrative credentials inside an app creates security risks.
