Google plans Quick Share integration tools for Android and iOS apps

Google plans Quick Share integration tools for Android and iOS apps Image: Primary
Google announced a Quick Share software development kit that will let Android and iOS apps integrate peer-to-peer file transfers, with release planned for the first half of 2027, 9to5Google reports. Developers will be able to initiate sharing inside their apps rather than sending users through the system Share sheet and fullscreen Quick Share experience. Google says the kit will handle hotspot creation, use Wi-Fi Direct on supported devices and support offline transfers without cellular service. Transfers will be end-to-end encrypted, and a bottom sheet will preview the files being sent.
