AWS opens bulk S3 writes into existing DynamoDB tables

AWS has made bulk put items generally available for Amazon DynamoDB, allowing developers to write data from Amazon S3 into existing tables without building a custom ingestion pipeline. AWS says the managed feature handles writes without affecting existing workloads. Developers point the service at input files in S3. Each item can carry a condition that enforces insert-only writes or guards against overwriting a different version. The Standard tier is available in all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions; the Accelerated tier serves more time-sensitive workloads and has separate regional availability.
