Vercel adds Google's Nano Banana 2.1 to AI Gateway

Vercel adds Google's Nano Banana 2.1 to AI Gateway Image: Primary
Google's Nano Banana 2.1 is now available through Vercel's AI Gateway, Vercel announced. Developers can call the image generation and editing model through the AI SDK, an OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions API, or Vercel's AI CLI command-line tool. Vercel says the model improves on earlier Nano Banana models, targeting placement of existing products in new scenes, edits restricted to marked image regions, and more accurate depictions of real-world subjects. It describes the model as operating at Flash-tier latency and cost. AI Gateway passes through provider pricing without an inference markup or platform fee.
