PlanetScale releases TIN full-text search extension for Postgres

PlanetScale releases TIN full-text search extension for Postgres Image: Primary
PlanetScale released TIN, a generally available full-text-search extension for its Postgres and Neki databases. The extension supports Boolean, phrase and span queries; fuzzy, wildcard and regular-expression matching; and BM25-scored results. PlanetScale says TIN works with continuous updates, replication, backups and transaction visibility. In company benchmarks on an 85 GB Stack Exchange corpus, it reported higher query throughput and lower latency than several other Postgres text-search indexes. The company attributes its design to using Postgres tuple identifiers in vectorized postings operations.
