Apple warns of higher memory costs in December quarter

Apple logo Image: Primary
Apple expects memory costs to rise further in the December quarter, CEO John Ternus said on its November 2 earnings call. Higher costs had already affected the September quarter, partly offset by inventory purchased earlier and lower costs for some other components. Ternus said price increases on Mac and iPad products at the end of June and iPhones in September would provide some offset. Apple expects memory purchases to become more expensive into 2027, but has not announced another round of product price increases.
