Have I Been Pwned confirmed Tuesday that data leaked after Harvard University's November 2025 breach exposed 850,500 accounts, BleepingComputer reported. The service analyzed records published by the ShinyHunters extortion gang, adding a confirmed exposure count to the previously disclosed attack. The compromised alumni and fundraising systems held information about donors, alumni, parents and some faculty, staff and students. The leaked data included names, email addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, physical addresses and social media profiles. Harvard has not attributed the attack, although ShinyHunters claimed responsibility. The university's chief information officer said the breached systems did not store Social Security numbers, passwords or payment card information.
