Claude's voice mode is getting a lot more useful with support for more models and tools
Image: Primary Anthropic said Thursday it is expanding the capabilities of Claude's voice mode to support multiple models and connected tools.
The update allows the voice feature to use the Opus and Sonnet models in addition to Haiku and to interact with linked applications such as Notion, Canva, Slack and calendar services. The company announced the changes in a post on X. The new functionality is rolling out in public beta across mobile, desktop and web platforms, including for users on the free plan.
Anthropic noted that because the release is a public beta, some users may not see the new capabilities immediately. The company launched voice mode last year and added multilingual support last month. In a test of the updated feature, the system identified and flagged a reminder to book movie tickets and provided an overview of other reminders on the device.
