The New York Times Company is in exclusive negotiations to acquire film social network Letterboxd for around $330 million, The New York Times reported. Discussions have included keeping Letterboxd's co-founders in charge while having them report to a Times Company executive. Letterboxd would likely remain standalone for the foreseeable future and integrate the buyer's advertising technology. A Times spokesperson declined to comment, while Letterboxd and its parent, Tiny Ltd., did not immediately respond to The Verge's requests for comment.
