US arrests tech CEO accused of diverting Nvidia servers to China

US arrests tech CEO accused of diverting Nvidia servers to China Image: Primary
US authorities arrested Earthmade Computer CEO Greg Lui over an alleged scheme to divert servers containing export-controlled Nvidia chips to China. In a Thursday announcement, the Justice Department accused Lui of using false paperwork to conceal the destination of shipments worth more than $300 million. The alleged scheme ran from October 2023 through August 2026 and involved freight-forwarding firms in Malaysia and Singapore. The indictment identifies servers containing A100 and H100 GPUs. Prosecutors cite emails and bank records, including a shipment declared for Malaysia that a co-conspirator allegedly said had reached China.
