OpenAI adds teen-specific ChatGPT mode

Parental Controls (1) Image: Primary
OpenAI is introducing a dedicated ChatGPT experience for users identified as 13 to 17 or estimated to be under 18. The company says the mode applies tighter default restrictions on sensitive content, adds safety warnings, and gives parents quiet-hour and safety-alert controls. It also adds teen onboarding and homework reminders that can redirect apparent assignment shortcuts to study mode. The source says several protections, including age prediction, parental controls and study mode, were already available.
