Tencent Launches ClawBot AI Agent in WeChat, Giving 1 Billion Users Access via Chat

Tencent launched ClawBot, an AI agent integrated directly into WeChat, giving more than one billion users access to an AI assistant within China's dominant messaging platform. ClawBot can handle tasks including scheduling, information lookup, and conversation within WeChat's existing chat interface. The launch represents Tencent's most significant consumer AI deployment to date. The integration bypasses the need for users to download a separate app, immediately reaching WeChat's massive installed base.
