Brightmind seeks second fund with AI infrastructure allocation

Brightmind seeks second fund with AI infrastructure allocation Image: Primary
Brightmind Partners is raising a second fund targeting roughly the same size as its $250 million debut fund, co-founder Stephen Ward told TechCrunch. Ward says about 20% of the second fund will focus on AI infrastructure deals, expanding beyond cybersecurity. Ward is now the firm's sole general partner after co-founder Gur Talpaz left in April alongside another early colleague. Brightmind's first fund has made 14 investments and recorded one exit: identity security startup SGNL, which CrowdStrike agreed in January to buy for $740 million. The second fund is still being raised.
