Broadcom and financiers arrange $63 billion for Anthropic hardware Image: Primary
Broadcom and a consortium of financial institutions announced a $63 billion financing arrangement Monday to supply AI processors and networking equipment to Anthropic, Yahoo Finance reported. A dedicated entity will buy the hardware from Broadcom and lease it to the AI developer. Bank of America, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley are arranging the first-lien senior debt, which has priority in an asset liquidation. Blackstone is the sole provider of the committed second-lien financing. Deliveries of Broadcom's XPU accelerators and networking equipment are expected to begin in calendar year 2027 under a previously announced compute capacity agreement.
