St. Lucie County declines to investigate seven unclaimed Flock cameras

St. Lucie County declines to investigate seven unclaimed Flock cameras Image: Primary
St. Lucie County will not investigate who owned seven unpermitted Flock cameras discovered during its camera-removal effort, The Washington Post reported Wednesday. County spokesperson Erick Gill said the county lacks resources to investigate and sought removal rather than identification of owners. City law enforcement claimed five of the 12 cameras found. A Flock spokesperson said a police department mistakenly advised that multiple cameras could share one permit, although the county required individual permits. The county gave owners 30 days to remove cameras without questions; the unclaimed cameras have since disappeared.
