Disruptive announced a $10 billion fund Tuesday to back at least 10 late-stage companies, with individual investments of up to $1 billion, TechCrunch reported. The Dallas investment firm is targeting capital-intensive AI and defense businesses. The vehicle is Disruptive's first blind-pool fund, in which investors commit capital before knowing which companies will receive it. The firm previously raised money through special purpose vehicles for individual deals. Its past investments include chip startup Groq and voice-generation company ElevenLabs.
