Computomics raises €6.3 million to scale climate-smart crop breeding platform
Image: Primary Computomics has raised €6.3 million in a Series B round to scale commercial delivery of its climate-smart breeding platform. Convent Capital Agri Food Fund led the round with a €5 million investment; existing investors also participated. The Tübingen company uses machine-learning models combining genomic, environmental and field-measurement data to predict how crop genotypes will perform under specified conditions. It says the new capital will extend its platform to more commercial breeding programs.
