OpenAI began gradually updating ChatGPT's Live voice feature to GPT-Live-1.1 on October 15, adding voices for French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Mexican Spanish, according to Ai Kudo's account of its release notes. The update also changes accents and the phrases used while searching. A smaller model, GPT-Live-1.1 Quip, serves Free users with limits and Go users for 3 hours per 24 hours. Plus users receive 3 hours with GPT-Live-1.1. Japanese voices Himari and Rindo can be selected in settings, but availability varies by region and account. Live does not support video or screen sharing.
