Meta launches stock and convertible preferred offerings worth about $35 billion

Meta launches stock and convertible preferred offerings worth about $35 billion Image: Primary
Meta Platforms launched two concurrent securities offerings worth about $35 billion, Yahoo Finance reported Monday. The offerings comprise $22.5 billion of Class A common stock and $12.5 billion of depositary shares representing convertible preferred stock. The financing comes as SpaceX is pricing bonds at up to 8.75% for a $40 billion private credit borrowing, the report said, citing Semafor and an unnamed source familiar with that borrowing. Meta's offerings have launched; the report does not establish completed proceeds.
