Colare launches hardware hiring tests with $2.5M in pre-seed funding

Colare launches hardware hiring tests with $2.5M in pre-seed funding Image: Primary
Colare has launched with $2.5M in pre-seed funding from Afore Capital, Garage Capital and Acadian Ventures, the company said Monday. The San Francisco startup tests hardware engineering candidates through simulations of tasks they would perform at work. Its software turns job advertisements into assessments, such as designing a part or circuit board, and scores both candidates' working methods and their output. Colare says half its clients work in space, aviation and defence. It aims to reduce interview work for senior engineers, which it says can take about 40 hours for one hardware hire.
