Nous raises $17m to expand household agent beyond Britain

Nous raises $17m to expand household agent beyond Britain Image: Primary
London-based Nous raised $17m to expand its household AI agent outside the UK and add features. Heartcore Capital and existing backer Mosaic Ventures provided funding, with Chalfen Ventures, Joyance Partners and Bain Future Back Ventures also participating. The service switches household contracts, cancels subscriptions and handles administrative tasks. Nous says almost 250,000 UK homes use it. Most tasks use large language models, while sensitive actions such as money decisions use fixed rules to reduce errors. Over the next year, the company plans to cover more spending categories and regulated work, including insurance and other financial services.
