ChatGPT Chrome extension gains tab context and browser controls Image: Primary
OpenAI has expanded its ChatGPT extension for Google Chrome so the assistant can use open tabs as context and control them, 9to5Google reports. The extension is available in the Chrome Web Store and includes a sidebar for interacting with ChatGPT. OpenAI lists sending messages, filling forms, downloading files and organizing tabs among its capabilities. Its examples include comparing vendor pricing pages and transferring vendor details into a comparison sheet. One registration example explicitly instructs the assistant to fill the form and stop before submitting.
