RadianX raises $5 million for solar device power production

RadianX raises $5 million for solar device power production Image: Primary
RadianX raised $5 million in seed funding led by SOSV and Twynam to fund a commercial-volume production line, the startup told TechCrunch. Pacific Union Technology Precision Manufacturing is also contributing $4 million in non-dilutive investment to build a dedicated line. The company develops perovskite solar materials and plans to sell integrated power packages to device makers rather than bare panels. It is also developing electronics tailored to those materials. Perovskites remain more expensive and less durable than typical silicon solar panels; RadianX is targeting indoor devices, where panels face less wear.
