Google says GKE sustained 500 agent activations per second in a 200,000-agent benchmark

Google says GKE sustained 500 agent activations per second in a 200,000-agent benchmark Image: Primary
Google says Agent Substrate on GKE sustained 500 activations per second with suspend and resume latency below 500 milliseconds in benchmark validation running 200,000 agents. The system bypasses Kubernetes scheduling limits and uses shared network identities to reduce activation bottlenecks. Moving unique sandbox metadata out of pod labels, or filtering those labels, lets identical agent types share an identity instead of approaching the 65,536 network identity limit. Agent Substrate can run on existing GKE clusters to reduce idle compute costs.
