OpenAI announces tighter ChatGPT limits on weapons and mass-attack details

OpenAI announces tighter ChatGPT limits on weapons and mass-attack details Image: Primary
OpenAI announced additional restrictions on weapons-related information for teens and detailed accounts of past mass attacks for all ChatGPT users on October 30. The company said the safeguards will begin rolling out in the next few weeks. The teen restrictions cover practical information about weapons and security systems even when questions show no violent intent. For all users, ChatGPT will limit reconstructions describing attackers' equipment, how they obtained it and detailed comparisons of harm. OpenAI also said its strengthened age prediction system continually assesses signals and can move users into the under-18 experience. Adults incorrectly assigned those safeguards can verify their age through Persona to have the additional restrictions removed.
