AWS adds warm storage to OpenSearch Serverless time series collections

AWS has made time series collections available on the next generation of OpenSearch Serverless, adding a lower-cost warm storage tier for logs, metrics, traces and event data. Customers can choose how long data remains in hot storage before it moves to the warm tier. AWS says each collection supports up to 100 TB of hot storage and automatically absorbs ingestion spikes without customers managing clusters. Alerting and anomaly detection are also available for log and event data. The collections are available in all AWS Regions that offer OpenSearch Serverless.
