PwC expands strategic alliance with Anthropic to deploy Claude Code and Cowork across its workforce

Anthropic and PwC announced an expansion of their strategic alliance. PwC is deploying Claude to build technology, execute deals, and reinvent enterprise functions for clients across every industry it serves. PwC will roll out Claude Code and Cowork starting with U.S. teams and expanding toward a global workforce of hundreds of thousands of professionals. The companies are establishing a joint Center of Excellence and a program to train and certify 30,000 PwC professionals on Claude. The collaboration focuses on agentic technology build, AI-native deal-making, and reinvention of the enterprise function. PwC is launching a new finance business group called the Office of the CFO built on Claude as the first standalone business unit anchored in Anthropic's technology. Claude is already running in production across professional sports operations, insurance underwriting, mainframe modernization, HR transformation, and cybersecurity. These deployments cut delivery times by up to 70 percent. Insurance underwriting that took 10 weeks now takes 10 days. Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, said PwC has been leading AI's expansion into the parts of the economy where accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable. Paul Griggs, US Senior Partner and CEO of PwC, said the collaboration brings together advanced AI capabilities and PwC's industry experience to help organizations move from exploration to enterprise-wide impact with greater confidence. PwC started as Customer Zero, putting Claude to work inside its own firm before bringing it to clients. Advocate Health, one of the nation's largest health systems, is among the organizations now building toward full-scale deployment across its 167,000-person workforce. Andy Crowder, Chief Digital and AI Officer at Advocate Health, said the collaboration is about building the foundation that allows teammates to do more for every patient. PwC will expand the rollout of Claude to its workforce of hundreds of thousands of professionals. The work is anchored by the joint Center of Excellence and the training and certification program.
