GitLab adds Gemini 4 Argon for multi-step engineering tasks

GitLab adds Gemini 4 Argon for multi-step engineering tasks Image: Primary
GitLab says Google's Gemini 4 Argon is now available on its Duo Agent Platform for engineering tasks that involve reading files, running commands and editing code. Agents submit their output in merge requests for engineers to review, with platform policy checks and an audit trail covering their actions. Argon uses GitLab Credits at promotional pricing of 2.86 calls per credit through November 30, 2026, falling to 1.33 calls per credit on December 1. GitLab describes the model as suited to work where completing a task correctly matters more than speed.
