Infineon plans C2i purchase for AI data-center power technology

Infineon Technologies has acquired Bangalore-based C2i Semiconductors, a developer of power-delivery architectures for large-scale AI data centers, though the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter, Data Center Dynamics reports. Infineon says the deal would add intelligent digital power management and system-level architectures for vertical power delivery to its power-semiconductor portfolio. C2i's technology combines power semiconductors, digital control and software algorithms to manage processor power conversion and regulation in real time.
