Siemens and Humanoid deploy humanoids in industrial operations with Nvidia

Siemens and Humanoid tested the HMND 01 wheeled Alpha humanoid robot in industrial operations at Siemens electronics factory in Erlangen, Germany. The robot, developed using Nvidia physical AI stack, performed autonomous logistics tasks including picking, transporting and placing containers for human operators, according to Engineer Live. The deployment met target metrics of 60 tote moves per hour, uptime exceeding eight hours and autonomous pick-and-place success rates above 90 percent. Humanoid integrated Nvidia Jetson Thor for edge compute, Nvidia Isaac Sim for simulation and Nvidia Isaac Lab for reinforcement learning and policy training into the HMND 01 platform. Siemens provided the industrial integration backbone through its Xcelerator portfolio, which includes digital twin, AI-enabled perception, integrated control, PLC-robot interfaces, fleet management, industrial communication networks and high-performance drives. The test expands on the Siemens and Nvidia strategic partnership.
