Google opens connected-app submissions as more than 50 Gemini integrations head to Search

Google opens connected-app submissions as more than 50 Gemini integrations head to Search Image: Primary
Google has opened a Connected Apps Platform preview for US developers to submit services to Gemini and Search, TechCrunch reported. Access requires a waitlist; broader availability has no date. Developers connect through MCP (Model Context Protocol), then register, test and submit integrations through Google Connected Console. They can choose Search, Gemini or both, and track traffic, latency and errors after launch. Gemini already has more than 50 connected apps. Those integrations will reach Search over the next few weeks, expanding its smaller selection.
