Microsoft Overhauls Windows Insider Program With Simplified Two-Channel Structure

The new structure offers just two main channels: Experimental and Beta. The Beta channel will provide a more reliable preview of upcoming retail releases, while the Experimental channel will host bleeding-edge features for adventurous testers. A Release Preview option remains available under Advanced Options for enterprise customers seeking early access to production builds.

Experimental channel participants gain a new Feature Flags page to toggle specific capabilities on or off. Additional options aligned to retail builds include Windows 11 version 25H2 and 26H1, the latter exclusively for new Snapdragon X2 Arm hardware. A Future Platforms option will preview builds not tied to any retail version.
